How to use LinkedIn to drive view to your blog.
I’m going to be sharing the BEST way to drive views to your blog using LinkedIn.
*If you’re from my marketing class, skip to step #5*
1: Connect with people.
You
want to start building your network first. Having a larger, engaged network
will result in more people seeing your posts. For how to connect
with others, check out my previous blog which looks into this.
2: Have some credibility.
To
get credibility on LinkedIn you should be regularly posting quality content.
The video below gives some excellent tips if you’re stuck for what to post.
3: Have an updated profile!
This
is incredibly important! Keep your profile up to date so that people know what
to expect from you. You can have a link to your blog on your profile!
4: Engage with connections.
Once
you’ve build up this network, you should maintain existing relationship and
build new ones by commenting on other posts and messaging your connections whenever
appropriate.
5: Create a post introducing your blog.
Here’s
a template which I have used to introduce my blog to my connections. Feel free
to copy and paste it to use it on your own LinkedIn.
I’ve created a blog.
This is something I have
been wanting to do for some time now. My blog is about [blog topic], and I can’t
wait for you to view it! I’m really passionate about [blog topic] and its
something which I really want to share with my network.
I have linked my
favourite blog post so far, in this post I discuss [briefly explain what you
discuss].
Any feedback would be greatly
appreciated as this is something I am brand new to!
[add link of blog]
If
you end up posting this on LinkedIn, tag me on LinkedIn in the comment section
of your post by saying, “@Sam Freedman,
what do you think of my blog post?”
By doing the above, I’ll comment on your LinkedIn post, increasing engagement and the likelihood that more people will see your post!
Thank you for sharing this Sam!
